Isuzu Pickups made their debut in 2006, and the model cabin crew was immediately named "Truck of the Year" in two different magazines, "Truck of Texas" and "Four Wheeler of the Year". Intellicato named 2006 models of the "Smart Choice," in ten different categories of ownership costs, and in particular mention the 2006 I-280 Extended Cab S: "Top Winner" in class the lowest repair costs.

For 2007, the i-280 Extended Cab 4x2 becomes the I-290, and the cab of i-350 4x4 is renamed the i-370. Trim levels have not changed: the i-290 is available in base S finished with a team of preferred, LS and Luxury packages optional, and is i-370 is available in LS or optional Limited. Both vehicles are larger, more powerful engines. Changes for the 2007 model year :

Despite these upgrades, the price has changed since 2006. I-290 extended cab 4x2 S begins the suggested retail price is $ 16,989, while the I-370 Crew Cab 4x4 LS starts MSRP of $ 27,358.
